LOU.EARL shoes run true to size with the exception of the Eleanor Spectator Oxfords which are best-suited for narrow feet, and run a full size small. If you are uncertain, contact us for personalized advice or order 1/2 a size up.

Yes, LOU.EARL shoes are made in Venice, Italy, with the exception of the King James sandals which were made in Los Angeles and the Lafayette pointed toe mules which were made in China at an Italian-run factory.

Our shoes are best suited for work days, events, and occasions that involve moderate walking rather than extended-all day wear. For maximum comfort, we recommend breaking in the full-grain sandal styles (Pierrette and Fialta) gradually before wearing them before longer periods.
