A Happy Accident

Thank you Kevin Hart!

At the start of the holidays in 2020, I received an increase of traffic to my website from people searching the term, "Lefty Lou Earl".  I was completely perplexed as to why but I didn't pay too much attention as I was dealing with the recent, and sudden passing of my beloved Mom.

It took me a few months to regain enough energy to even think about work but upon doing so, I discovered that the comedic genius of Kevin Hart was the reason behind the influx of traffic to my site. In his Netflix series titled, 'Zero F**ks Given', he tells the story of a squeaky-voiced boxer named Lefty Lou Earl whom had only one arm. During his wonderland bit or monologue, he claims that his trainer referred him to this mythical boxer due to the similarities of their squeaky voices.

Upon reading several articles and watching the show myself, Lefty Lou Earl appears to be a mythical boxer created in the imaginative mind of Kevin Hart.

I myself have been writing children's stories since I was young and am shy to admit that I too have some very outrageous, and imaginative, creative stories that are waiting to be bounced around like jellybeans frolicking down a rollercoaster. I can appreciate Mr. Hart's artistic expression when it comes to literary narratives.

Online writers reviewing Kevin Hart's inventive boxer persona have concluded that Lefty Lou Earl is simply a myth, stating; "Lou Earl is actually a brand of Italian-made shoes which was founded in 2013 by Alaskan-born designer, Laura Unruh" (that's me).

In conclusion, though better late than never, I wanted to share with you all this little cut of comedy from Kevin Hart that led to a little more awareness of me and my fashion footwear brand.

...on second thought, maybe Lefty Lou Earl IS alive and well, residing in the spirit of all of us in the form of triumph.

Below is a photo of me in 2018 supporting the non-profit organization Soles4Souls at a boxing footwear fundraising event at Classic Kickboxing in Pasadena, California.
